How to Attract Your First Coaching Clients

HomeEducationalHow to Attract Your First Coaching Clients

Sports and athletics aren’t the only homes to coaches. Coaches are found in the business world and the motivational speaker circuit. No matter what a coach is coaching, he/she seeks to bring out the best in others. People wish to see their skills improve.

Raising your profile requires some effort but taking the necessary steps may be the only way to build up a client base. Three ways, in particular, could help you draw in more clients.

Establish Yourself as an Authority

People don’t want an average coach. Average or generic traits don’t impress people enough for them to sign up. So, you need to do whatever it takes to establish yourself as an authority. Writing a blog would be a good step in that direction. Take things a bit further and try to publish articles in magazines. Have you thought about launching a YouTube channel? Creating amazing videos allows people to see a 3-D picture of someone’s expertise.

Get your best skills across when presenting your expertise. Establish your knowledge and credibility. Make people feel confident in your abilities as a coach. If you have any certifications, be sure to list them in a place on your website where visitors will see them. If you don’t have any certifications, you may want to consider getting certified where relevant.

Invest in Social Media Ads

Hundreds of millions of people regularly check their social media accounts. Placing well-crafted social media ads in front of a few thousand interested parties could lead to increased coaching bookings. Creating a social media profile and posting on the platform regularly is a must. Don’t stick exclusively with the free route. You want to reach as many potential clients as possible. A smart and targeted social media advertising campaign could help this cause immensely.

Design an Irresistible Sales Funnel

Have you ever walked into a shopping mall and passed a sale that was too good to be true? Then as you browse the product a sales associate walks up and says if you buy 3 then the 4th is free. A sales funnel is the 4 steps a customer takes when buying a product in-store or online. It starts with awareness, a customer seeing a sign or link regarding a deal. The customer becomes interested as they browse, comparing other deals or products. Then makes the decision to buy a product and finally paying for the chosen product. Sales funnel are important because it forces a business to learn the tendency of their customers and allows them to make large gains in sales if done right.

People benefit from the work of a reliable coach, and they must connect with the coach to reap those rewards. Do yourself and potential clients a favor by getting across your expertise.
