Does Sweating Cause Pimples? – 4 Simple Ways to Get Rid of Acne

HomeWellnessDoes Sweating Cause Pimples? - 4 Simple Ways to Get Rid of...

There are several people out there that are having some skin problems. As a matter of fact, very few know that some of the things they do can be the leading cause of such problems.

There’s this question of whether sweating can cause you any acne or pimples. Although there is no satisfactory support that sweat itself is the main cause of acne, there’s some evidence that when you are sweating, bacteria can find their way in and end up causing trouble.

In most of the situations sweat can cause pimples around the breasts and other sweaty parts of your body. However, most of the supporting work shows that acne is caused when the oil glands are activated especially when the male hormones activate them.

There are certain circumstances when the cells that are close to the surface blocks the openings on the skin which later causes buildup of oil in those places. After the oil buildup, bacteria will then find their way in. In these conditions, they multiply and cause the skin to become inflamed.

After the bacteria build up and cause this to happen, the other thing that follows is pustules or papule depending on if the inflammation is close to the surface or deep in the surface.

The type of acne that is caused by sweating especially when it’s hot and humid or when you are exercising is called Pityrosporum Folliculitis. This type of acne is very common in dermatology practice. It happens in large numbers especially during the summer when people are hot and sweaty.

Although this type of acne is not very problematic, it can be hard to deal with because some people’s skins are prone to it. The process of treating this type of acne depends entirely on the skin involved and the extent of acne.

4 Simple Ways to Get Rid of Acne Fast

If sweating is the culprit, it doesn’t mean you have to stop exercising or enjoying yourself in summer.

There are several things you can do to make it simple or even stop their development. In this case, we are going to discuss some of the best ways to do this.

1. Practice Proper Exercise Hygiene

One thing that most of the people don’t know is that poor exercise hygiene can worsen the condition.

There are several studies that show this is the main reason why most people experience high breakout of acne especially when they are practicing.

According to American Academy of dermatology, if you want to reduce the development of acne during exercises, you have to practice proper exercise hygiene.

2. Wear The Right Exercise Cloths

The other main cause of high acne breakouts during exercise is wearing tight and irritating clothes.

Actually wearing tight clothes or those clothes that are not breathable can cause more trouble and this can highly increase somebody’s risk of developing acne.

The other thing is that you should check on the fabrics that you are going for. Wearing the wrong fabrics may as well irritate the skin and make acne worse. They are also the leading reason why most of the people have scratched or broken skin especially after exercise.

3. Use The Right Lotions and Creams

As I have already stated, there are some of the people that are very prone to acne. If you notice that you are one of them, then you should make sure that you are using creams and lotions that don’t clog the pores.

This should be accompanied by the right clothing to make sure your skin can breathe. The best thing to do in this case is to look for creams and lotions that are oil free and non-comodogenic.

4. Take a Warm Shower Right After Your Workout

What I said earlier is that bacteria that settle after you sweat cause most of this acne. What this means is that you have to wash your sweat out immediately you get out of your routine.

According to healthtippshub, there are many other causes of acne like some junk foods, oily skin and high level of DHT.

So, if you want to get rid of acne you must have to find out the cause of it and then have to treat it for the long term benefits.
