HomeCareer GrowthTop 3 Fast-Growing Careers with Excellent Job Outlook and High Earning Potential

Whether you are anticipating the start of your working life or considering a career change, there are some key things you’ll look for in a profession. Of course, you’ll want to investigate the pay range, and you’ll also want to find a job you’ll enjoy. Something that is equally important is a field’s projected growth. This is a factor that many job seekers tend to overlook. To be considered a great career, a job must have a good future. Working in a lucrative field that you like won’t serve your long-term goals if the occupation will soon be phased out. This article will discuss three careers with excellent growth prospects.

Solar Photovoltaic Installers

Solar installers are responsible for mounting and maintaining solar panels on residential and commercial properties. The majority of the work is done outdoors. With some companies, only a high school diploma is required and about a year of on-the-job training. In some cases, candidates may attend a technical school or community college. The median pay is about $42,680, and the projected outlook is very good with an estimated growth of 105 percent from 2016 to 2026. This is due to the continued popularity and expansion of the solar industry.

Health Administration

Health service managers or health care administrators oversee and coordinate medical care. They may be responsible for directing a specific department or an entire facility or clinic. They might also manage a practice for a group of physicians. Health service managers are responsible for implementing changes in medical regulations and laws. A minimum of a bachelor’s degree is required for this field, but it is common for many professionals to hold a master’s degree or higher. Most health service managers have prior clinical or administrative experience in a medical facility. The median pay is $99,730. The US Bureau of Labor Statistics reported that from 2014 to 2024 they anticipated a 17 percent growth in health administration-related jobs.

Physical Therapists

Professionally trained physical therapists help patients manage their pain from injuries or chronic illnesses. They are typically part of a rehabilitation plan to treat or prevent certain conditions. Physical therapists can work in a variety of venues. These include private offices, nursing homes and hospitals. A Doctor of Physical Therapy(DPT) degree is required for this occupation. Physical therapists must also be licensed in the state where they practice. Their median salary is $87,930. The projected growth for this field is expected to be about 28 percent between 2016 and 2026.

Whether you currently work in one of the fields mentioned above or you are starting a new career in one of them, they all have an excellent outlook for the years to come.
