What a man can do, a woman can do better comes to mind first. Over the years, this tag has been pined and labelled to tell that women are very powerful creatures, strong, beautiful, precious, sweet, delicate and amazing.
But despite this saying, women are still not allowed to participate in some activities due to some illogical reasons but seriously that really is not the main problem. What I think is the problem is that women sell themselves short, few, just few women understands their value and that is one of the reasons why women are still not as they are supposed to be.
Let’s take a look on the aspect of love! Most women crave for affection and love from men and hence they are being taken for granted. Talk on politics, Women are still not allowed to run some status through why? They sell themselves short going for post like Ministers.
What happens to a woman being the president? Or Governor? To illustrate it, take a look at Clinton, she decided to contest for the post of a president and though she wasn’t elected, she tried! She at least made an attempt , she didn’t sell herself short, she didn’t think that she was a woman so she couldn’t go as far as wanting to rule a country.
Have you ever wondered why no woman here in Nigeria has never done that? Ever thought about it? I’m just saying you know. Even Sir William Golding said “ I think women are FOOLISH to think or pretend they are equal to men, they are far superior and always have been”.
He continued to say! “ Whatever you give a woman, she make greater. If you give her a house, she’ll give you a home. If you give her groceries, she’ll give you meal. If you give her a smile, she’ll give you her heart. She multiplies and enlarges what is given to her” he concluded.
Women did you hear that? Coming out from a man? I urge you all, every woman out there (Girl, Lady, Woman) rise above your pettiness and stop wallowing in shallow dreams.
You are endowed with the potential of enlarging and multiplying the coast. Perform your function, In whatever dream you have, go for it but this time with the aim of being the best out of the best! Don’t let anyone or any man deceive you by selling you short and degrading your self esteem and confidence. Mind me telling this? You are better than you think you are.
Never ever underestimate yourself and don’t you dare sell yourself short again. Give it a Go! the world is waiting to see the star and the king in you.
